Dr. Jamise Brown is a highly dedicated and accomplished mental health professional with extensive experience in counseling and psychological studies. She earned her Doctorate from Regent University in Counseling and Psychological Studies, with a dual concentration in Addiction Counseling and Trauma Counseling. With over a decade of experience, Jamise has devoted her career to supporting children, adolescents, teens, adults, and families through a compassionate, tailored approach to therapy.
Jamise holds several prestigious certifications, including Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner (LSATP), Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider (CSOTP), and Certified Trauma Professional (CTP). She is adding more to her credentials as we speak. In addition, she offers clinical supervision for individuals working toward becoming Certified Substance Abuse Counselors (CSACs) and Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs), demonstrating her commitment to mentoring the next generation of clinicians.
Her therapeutic foundation is grounded in Behavioral Therapy, but she skillfully integrates a variety of evidence-based modalities to meet each client’s unique needs. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Interventions, Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Jamise is widely recognized for her open-mindedness, team-oriented spirit, and depth of knowledge across a range of behavioral health topics. She is especially passionate about helping individuals navigate challenges related to substance abuse, dual diagnosis, behavioral issues, addiction, ADHD, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Whether working with young children through expressive therapies or supporting adults in recovery, Jamise brings empathy, clinical expertise, and a personalized approach to every client relationship. Her work continues to positively impact the lives of many, and she remains a steadfast advocate for mental health and holistic healing.

She proudly graduated from THEE Illustrious Norfolk State University with a B.S. in Health Service Management. She has a deep passion for helping others, especially youth, and is committed to giving back through community service. She serves as the Program Director for Crown Athletix, and is an active member of the Forever Girlfriends Empowerment Group, which is focused on uplifting and empowering women. As an entrepreneur, she also founded TaylorMade Graphics, a graphic and creative design platform. Driven by compassion, purpose, and innovation, she strives to make a positive impact wherever she goes.
Meet Alexis, a current a college student majoring in Psychology at Kennesaw State University, one of our compassionate leaders at Changin’ You.
She has a deep interest in understanding human behavior and a strong passion for helping others improve their emotional and behavioral well-being.
As she pursues her degree, she is also preparing to become a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT). Her goal is to work directly with individuals—especially children—who face developmental or behavioral challenges, using evidence-based strategies to support their growth, communication, and independence.
Becoming an RBT is an exciting step in her journey toward a long-term career in mental and behavioral health. She is committed to making a difference in the lives of others and continuing to grow as both a professional and a student in this meaningful field.
